Start with your church.
Practical guidance to help your congregation protect peace while remaining welcoming, prepared, and true to its mission.
Where should your church start?
Every church has its own people, building, community, and resources. We start with a conversation about your current approach and the concerns that brought you here. A walkthrough during or around service times can help us understand how the space is used.
People and responsibilities
Clarify the work of greeters, ushers, Safety Ministry volunteers, and church leaders. Give each responsibility an owner and a way to ask for help.
Preparation and communication
Review arrival, worship, dismissal, children’s ministry coordination, medical needs, disruptions, and emergency procedures.
Practical priorities
Identify gaps, consider the tools already available, and put the next steps in a useful order. Investments in equipment should answer an actual need.
Training that fits
Connect the recommendations with practice for your people, facility, and volunteer availability. Keep the plan simple enough to use.
Tell us where you are.
Starting a team, strengthening an existing ministry, or looking for a basic assessment? Share a little about your congregation so we can discuss a useful next step.
This is an inquiry, not an automated readiness score. SSEI will review your request and follow up.
