Investigative services

Get the facts before you decide.

SSEI is a Maryland-licensed private detective agency.

SSEI provides specialized investigative support, incident guidance, and case review as part of its broader security work.

Begin with a focused conversation.

Tell us generally what has happened and what you need to understand. We can discuss whether SSEI’s services fit your situation and how to take the next step.

Our work connects practical experience in security operations with a focus on incident understanding and threat prevention.

Talk with SSEI

Start with a general inquiry.

Use our contact form →

For an initial inquiry, a general description is enough. Detailed case information can be discussed directly with SSEI.

What do you need to understand?

SSEI approaches investigations through clear questions, records research, interviews and careful documentation. Our founder’s background includes fraud investigations and investigative operations management; his Certified Fraud Examiner designation is described on our About page and is separate from agency licensing. Tell us what prompted the concern and what decision you need to make; the first conversation establishes whether SSEI is the right fit.

Incident understanding

Start with what happened, what is known, and what remains uncertain. Identify the question you need answered before choosing a course of action.

Case review & next steps

Discuss the information already available and whether further investigative support fits the concern. Scope and suitability are determined through a direct conversation.

What to expect from the first conversation.

  1. Describe the concern generally. Tell us what prompted your inquiry and the decision you are facing.
  2. Establish whether the work fits. Discuss the requested support, any conflicts, and what information is needed to assess the next step.
  3. Clarify the engagement. Before work begins, agree on scope, fees, communication, and how information will be handled.

Use the form to request a private conversation. Please do not include sensitive records or case evidence in your initial message.

Let’s make your next step a confident one.

Tell us about your people, your place, and what you want to improve.
